Amigos de Rimkieta is a foundation of friends motivated to attempt to improve the living conditions of the inhabitants of Rimkieta, one of the poorest neighbourhoods of Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso, the third poorest country in the world. Friends of Rimkieta was founded after learning about the lack of means and the extreme poverty that the people there live in. Aware of it all, how people live and perish in such dire straits, we felt we had to become involved. Our Commitment: the assurance that all donations are applied, in their totality, to the projects in Rimkieta: ONE EURO GIVEN HERE IS ONE EURO SPENT THERE. The objective of the foundation has three pillars: education and health, human development of the inhabitants and obtaining of drinking water. EDUATION AND HEALTH PROJECT. As the basis or human development, the education of children and youth and proper sanitation and health assistance. DEVELOPMENT PROJECT. Development of the initiative for women in the neighbourhood, consisting of help through micro-credits. Promotion of small family businesses to promote family welfare and social development that is sustainable. WATER PROJECT. Essential for human survival, this involves the drilling of wells to provide drinking water.
